I sat on, fiddled with, and looked for bargains on at least 15 of the most popular top-rated office chairs - many of them three times more expensive than Branch. Yes, I tend to be a little obsessive with gear (habit from the military); but like a good pair of boots or a mattress, things that connect you with the ground for hours a day can have a major impact on your well-being! I feel confident that the Ergonomic Chair is the best value on the market right now in terms of looks, adjustability, comfort, and customer support.
Here's what I like about the Branch chair:
1) The looks. Clean lines, perfect execution on a neutral color scheme (I got the sand), and it fits nicely into the more formal setting of my dining room/office nook. Looking cool is 90% - obviously.
2) The adjustability and comfort. I'm 5'11 and about 190lbs with a lot of back problems from the military. With the arm rests adjusted to their widest setting, I can comfortably sit cross-legged in my Ergo Chair and still feel like my butt and back are fully supported. It reclines further back than most chairs at this price and the locking mechanism feels sturdy and satisfying. I got the head rest which I think is a must for enjoying the full recline setting. The seat pad itself is medium firmness and I never bottom-out or feel the frame. The lumbar support is easy to adjust while seated and is supportive without being noticeable or creating any hotspots. Chair is very comfortable. Reviews are pretty spot on. Had a slight issue with one bolt being stripped, my own fault from over tightening. Contacted and they sent out new part right away. Solid. I’m happy. Fair price. Don’t watch YouTube videos on nice chairs. They’re all bought advertisements by influencers.

My kitchen is my office. I'm almost 90 years old and retired from a checkered career as suburban housewife, (now divorced and widowed), mother of four, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of ten, secretary in the garment industry, unsuccessful professional actress. These days my main business is aging gracefully.
My desk is the kitchen table. On it I check my emails, occasionally write an essay or article, take calls and,of course, three times a day I eat at my desk.
Several years ago I noticed my kitchen chairs were really uncomfortable, not only for eating but also for business. So I purchased a desk chair from a big box chain store. It was more comfortable than the kitchen chair, but could not keep up with the accumulation of aches that come with getting more mature. Plus, the fake leather seat started to molt and I found the atmosphere in my "office" was becoming saturated with micro-plastic bits.
I hit the Internet for a new chair. Several sites rated Branch, a company I'd never heard of, very highly. Branch has a huge choice of styles and there was a chair in my price range. I had a color choice other than black or grey, and I chose sand.
About four days after I place the order, the chair arrived. The maintenance man in my community put it together with ease. It looks great in my kitchen. Most important, the variety of adjustment makes it VERY COMFORTABLE.
That's the good news. The not so good news is I'm not in the market for more office furniture. My…

After trying several office chairs, this is by far my favorite. It provides excellent back support and is very comfortable to sit in for hours while working. Definitely one of the best office chairs I’ve had.
